Duncan Jones

Born on May 30, 1971, in London. He was formerly known as Zowie (or Joey) Bowie because he is the son of David Bowie (= Jones) and his first wife, Angela Barnett. Duncan holds a bachelor‘s degree in philosophy from the College of Wooster and went on to Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, but later decided to attend London Film School instead, where he graduated as a director. Jones worked as a cameraman, and in 2006 he directed a campaign for the French Connection fashion label. His first feature, the highly unusual sc-fi film Moon (2009), was very well received internationally and won two British Independent film awards and one BAFTA Award.
